Greg Hackney

CEO, Managing Partner

Greg is a Managing Partner at Kiron Capital. He has served as a founder, executive, and consultant to many successful healthcare companies over the past two decades. Greg founded, acquired and sold over 17 companies. In addition to driving the strategic direction, his responsibilities include leading the sales, marketing and financial direction of Kiron’s portfolio companies. While a Partner at Kiron, Greg also stepped in as CEO of MediGain, a healthcare revenue cycle management company which he helped to grow tenfold in four years. Prior to MediGain, Greg served as CEO of Superior Global, a healthcare document management company. Prior to that, he was founder, CEO and an early pioneer in healthcare speech understanding and data extraction at Expresiv Technologies, which was acquired by 3M. Greg attended the University of Texas at Austin for undergraduate studies, where he studied
Japanese and Information Systems, and gained two Masters Degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Business Management and Economics.

Ed Hrvatin

Partner, Chief Financial Officer

Ed Hrvatin is part of the senior executive team at Kiron Capital and is responsible for mergers & acquisitions and management of Kiron’s portfolio investments. Ed is acting CEO of Kiron’s home healthcare platform and CFO at Hi-Tech Health. Ed has over 25 years of business and investment experience. Prior to Kiron, Ed was with GE Capital where he was Chief Marketing Officer in GE’s private equity business. He also led business development for a private investment firm and a start-up private equity fund. Ed has extensive operating experience in engineering, finance, marketing, sales and business development working with healthcare services, technology, aerospace, industrial and distribution companies. Ed received his MBA in Corporate Finance from the Lubin School of Business, Pace University, and BS, Magna Cum Laude, Mechanical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology.

Mike Carrara

Founder & Chief Revenue Officer

Mike Carrara co-founded Hi-Tech Health in 1990 and serves as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer. Mike was instrumental in creating and executing the company’s business strategy and marketing plan when Hi-Tech Health first launched, and he continues to lead all sales, marketing and financial activities that have enabled the company’s growth and success. Mike manages Hi-Tech’s client relationships at all stages from initial needs assessment to client onboarding, training, and understanding and meeting clients’ evolving business & technology needs. Prior to founding Hi-Tech Health Mike was in the self- insured third party administration (TPA) industry in sales & marketing management roles with increasing levels of responsibility throughout his career. Mike received a BA degree from Monmouth College, Long Branch, NJ. He also holds professional certifications from the Professional School of Business, Parsippany, NJ, Microsoft Corporate Sales Training, Cisco Internet Security and IBM Software/Hardware.

Michael McAlpin

Operating Executive

Michael McAlpin is an entrepreneur, executive, film producer and IT architect with over 20 years of solutions delivery in both healthcare and technology systems. Michael worked for a number of companies including Accenture,
DirecTV, Chase, and Verizon, before starting his own software company in 2010. He has since co-founded two other successful software ventures and serves on the board for several growing companies. Michael has has been a part of 6 successful exits and enjoys the operations of the build and ramp up. Michael’s is primarily focused on healthcare and technology but his experience ranges from investments in skilled nursing facilities in Georgia to the feature films Waffle Street (2015) and Miss Arizona (2019). Michael has an Masters in Business Administration and Sustainability from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and lives in southern California where he enjoys sailing, snowboarding, and traveling with his wife and four children.

Tim Walsh

Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Tim Walsh co-founded Hi-Tech Health in 1990 and serves as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. Tim led the initial development and ongoing updates of the Series 3000 Claims Administration System, Hi-Tech’s flagship software solution. Tim manages Hi-Tech’s team of programmers and is responsible for developing customized software solutions for clients that meet their unique business and technology needs. He leads the development process from initial demonstration to system configuration, customization and ongoing technology updates and modifications. Tim and his team are responsible for programming the interface with over two hundred vendor and trading partners emphasizing commitment to superior client experience. He is also responsible for continued research and development to ensure that the company and staff are knowledgeable in key industry changes and that Hi-Tech’s software solutions are always on the cutting edge of the industry. Tim has a BS in Computer Science from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He also holds professional certifications from IBM in Software/ Hardware.

Julie Grosvenor

MD, MBA, FAAOS, Chief Operations Officer

Julie Grosvenor is an experienced physician leader relocating from Southern Maine. She led a dynamic period of surgical volume growth, integration, and bariatric and robotic program development in Perioperative Services. She is dedicated to high-quality health care and great patient and surgeon experience. A graduate of Washington University Medical School, she trained in Orthopaedic Surgery at George Washington University in DC. For nearly two decades, she practiced general orthopaedic surgery in Southern Maine and served in Medical Staff Office and Surgical Services leadership positions. She recently completed her MBA program at MIT.
